KILLEEN, Texas โ€” An unusual aggravated robbery is under investigation in Killeen after two suspects armed with weapons paused to steal ice cream before fleeing the crime scene on bicycles. The bizarre detail has caught the attention of local investigators who are working to identify the duo.

The robbery took place on June 26, 2025. According to the Killeen Police Department, the two suspects entered a local establishment, threatened staff, and demanded valuables. However, rather than making an immediate escape, the suspects took a moment to raid a freezer compartment, stealing ice cream before walking out. They then mounted bicycles and rode away from the scene.

Police Appeal for Public Assistance

While the theft of frozen treats adds a strange twist to the event, law enforcement is treating the incident as a serious aggravated robbery due to the threats of violence made during the encounter. Detectives are reviewing security camera footage that captured the suspects' escape route on their bicycles.
