Armed robbery reported in Banbury
According to an article published by Oxfordmail on 31 December 2025, armed police were deployed to a convenience store in Banbury following a robbery involving a knife. Thames Valley Police reported that the incident occurred at the Quick Stop store on Warwick Road at 7:54am that morning.
Authorities stated that two men entered the premises, brandishing a knife, and proceeded to steal cash and tobacco. No injuries were reported during the incident. Officers attended the scene to conduct enquiries and remained in the area throughout the day.
Thames Valley Police are currently seeking information from the public. Detective Inspector Robert Platt has urged anyone who was in the vicinity of Warwick Road shortly before 8am, or motorists with dash-cam footage, to contact the police quoting reference number 43250659427. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers.
