Armed robbery at a shop in Leamington
According to an article published on 4 February 2026 by Coventrytelegraph, a robbery took place at a shop on Stanley Street in Leamington. The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 pm on Sunday, 1 February.
Coventrytelegraph reports that a suspect, described as a white man wearing a balaclava and dark clothing, entered the small supermarket armed with a samurai sword. He reportedly threatened staff and demanded cash. The individual then placed an undisclosed amount of money into two carrier bags, took tobacco, and fled the scene. Police believe the suspect escaped in a nearby vehicle.
Leamington Police are currently searching for the individual. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 101, referencing incident number 368 of 1 February, or to reach out to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
