Armed robbery reported in Wishaw

According to an article published on 15 March 2026 by Dailyrecord, Police Scotland are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a shop on Stewarton Street in Wishaw. The incident took place around 6.30pm on Saturday, March 14.

Dailyrecord reports that a man entered the premises brandishing a knife and demanded cash from the till before fleeing the scene towards the Stonecraig Road area with a quantity of money. The suspect is described as being in his 20s, approximately 5ft 11in tall, and of medium build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a grey hooded top, a light-coloured baseball cap, a dark blue outer jacket, black trousers, and a dark face covering.

While no injuries were reported, authorities have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage to come forward.
