Armed Robbery at West Toledo Gas Station Leads to Arrests and Convictions

Two suspects have been convicted and sentenced to prison for an armed robbery that occurred at a gas station in west Toledo, Ohio. The incident took place on October 12, 2023, at a Marathon gas station located at 2300 S. Detroit Ave. The suspects, identified as 27-year-old John Doe and 30-year-old Jane Smith, were arrested following the robbery. The suspects entered the gas station, brandishing a firearm, and demanded cash from the clerk. They escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and a pack of cigarettes. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The suspects were apprehended by Toledo Police Department officers after a brief chase. The police were able to recover the stolen cash and cigarettes during the arrest. Both suspects were charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault. The court sentenced John Doe to 10 years in prison and Jane Smith to 8 years in prison.
