Armed robbery at Wychbold Post Office

According to Birminghammail, an armed robbery occurred at the Wychbold Post Office on Worcester Road, Droitwich, on the morning of Monday, April 20, 2026. At approximately 9:40 am, three men wearing balaclavas entered the premises and threatened a staff member with a knife.

The suspects, described by West Mercia Police as two black men and one white man, demanded access to the post office's safe. After stealing an undisclosed amount of cash, the group fled the scene. One victim sustained injuries to their head and hand during the incident.

Detective Sergeant Lance Pritchard has urged anyone who may have witnessed the event or possesses relevant dash cam or CCTV footage from Worcester Road to contact the police. Investigations are ongoing, and information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Business owners are encouraged to review their security protocols and ensure that alarm systems and surveillance equipment are regularly tested and fully operational.
