Armed Robbery in South Congaree Leads to One Arrest, One Suspect at Large

On October 1, 2023, an armed robbery occurred at a residence on River Road in South Congaree, South Carolina. Two suspects, armed with a handgun, entered the home and demanded valuables from the occupants. The suspects stole approximately $10,000 in cash and jewelry, before fleeing the scene in a dark-colored SUV.

One of the suspects was apprehended shortly after the incident, while the other remains at large. The arrested individual is currently being held in the Lexington County Detention Center. The South Congaree Police Department is appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of the second suspect. No injuries were reported during the incident.
