Armed Robbery Investigated at Kwik Shop in North Lincoln

LINCOLN, Nebraska — An armed robbery at a north Lincoln convenience store has prompted an active investigation by the Lincoln Police Department. Officers responded to the Kwik Shop located near Dawes Avenue and North First Street in the early hours of Saturday, September 27, 2025.

According to police reports, the incident occurred at approximately 12:10 a.m. A man dressed entirely in black clothing entered the store, approached the counter, and brandished a handgun. The suspect then demanded cash from the register.

Suspect Flees on Foot with Cash

The store clerk complied with the gunman's demands, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The suspect immediately fled the premises on foot, disappearing into the surrounding neighborhood before police could arrive. Fortunately, no injuries were reported by the store clerk or any customers during the encounter.

Responding officers searched the vicinity with police K-9 units but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a male wearing all-black clothing, including a mask or hood to conceal his face. LPD detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the store and surrounding businesses.
