Armed Robbery Suspect from Paradise Arrested After Hiding in Chico Trailer

CHICO, California — An armed robbery suspect from the nearby town of Paradise was arrested in Chico after a brief search led officers to a trailer where he was attempting to hide.

The Chico Police Department responded to reports of an armed robbery in the city. The suspect, identified as a male resident of Paradise, reportedly brandished a weapon during the crime before fleeing the scene on foot.

Law enforcement quickly established a perimeter in the surrounding neighborhood. With the assistance of witnesses and search dogs, officers traced the suspect to a nearby residential property, where he was discovered hiding inside a parked trailer.

The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Butte County Jail on charges of armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and probation violations. The weapon used during the robbery was also recovered at the scene.
