Armed Suspect Sought in Robbery of Waikiki Food Stand

HONOLULU, Hawaii — The Honolulu Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying an armed suspect responsible for a robbery at a Waikiki food stand. The incident occurred on the evening of January 25, 2026, in one of Oahu's busiest visitor corridors.

According to preliminary reports, the suspect approached the outdoor food stand, produced a weapon, and demanded money from the employees on duty. Fearing for their safety, the workers complied with the demands. The suspect then fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash.

HPD officers arrived shortly after receiving the call, but a search of the immediate area did not locate the suspect. Detectives are reviewing security camera footage from neighboring businesses and hotels along the Waikiki strip. The suspect is described as a male, last seen wearing dark clothing and a cap.
