Arrest and Charges Laid Following Armed Robbery at Nisa Shop in Inverness
A 43-year-old man has been arrested and charged by Police Scotland detectives following an alleged robbery at a Nisa convenience store in Inverness on Tuesday, 21 April 2026.
The incident occurred at the local Nisa store when a man entered the premises, threatened staff members, and demanded cash and goods. The suspect then fled the shop with a quantity of stolen items. Thankfully, no staff members were physically injured during the ordeal, although they were left extremely distressed by the confrontation.
Following a rapid search of the surrounding area, local police officers successfully located and arrested the 43-year-old suspect. Detectives from Inverness CID subsequently charged him in connection with the robbery.
The news of the incident has sent shockwaves through the local business community. Convenience stores and local shops have been advised by police to review their security measures and ensure that CCTV systems are fully operational.
