Arrest Made in Connection with Clovis Barbecue Restaurant Burglary

CLOVIS, California — Police have made an arrest in the burglary of Grill Masters Barbeque, a local restaurant that was targeted in a destructive break-in last month. The arrest brings relief to the business owners and the surrounding community after a weeks-long investigation.

The break-in, which occurred on July 27, 2025, left the restaurant with significant structural damage and resulted in the theft of business assets and cash. Surveillance footage capturing the suspect's movements was widely circulated on social media and news outlets, prompting numerous tips from the public.

Following up on leads, Clovis Police Department detectives identified a suspect and executed a search warrant at a local residence. During the search, investigators recovered evidence linking the individual to the burglary. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of commercial burglary and grand theft.
