ATM Ripped from Wall in Early Morning Break-In at Kramer Bar and Grill

LINCOLN, Nebraska โ€” Lancaster County Sheriffโ€™s deputies are searching for a suspect who forced entry into a local tavern early Tuesday morning, ripping an ATM off the wall and making off with thousands of dollars in cash and equipment.

The burglary occurred at the Kramer Bar and Grill, located near the intersection of 114th Road and West Kramer Street, just southwest of Lincoln. According to investigators, the suspect broke into the building around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, by forcing open a window.

ATM Ripped from the Wall

Once inside, the intruder targeted the establishment's ATM. The suspect managed to forcefully detach the machine from its wall anchors, causing significant structural damage to the interior. The suspect then dragged the machine out of the building and loaded it into an awaiting vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Sheriff's officials report that the total loss from the burglary is estimated at $3,900. This includes the value of the ATM itself, estimated at $2,000, and approximately $1,900 in cash that was inside the machine at the time of the theft. The business also sustained several hundred dollars in property damage to the window and the wall where the ATM was mounted.

โ€œAt this time, we do not have a detailed description of the suspect or the vehicle used in the burglary,โ€ said Lancaster County Sheriffโ€™s Captain Greg Nelson. โ€œWe are looking at security footage from nearby roads and businesses in hopes of identifying the vehicle.โ€

The Kramer Bar and Grill has since reopened, but management has indicated that they are upgrading their security systems and may not replace the ATM. Anyone who was in the area of 114th and West Kramer Street around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday and saw suspicious vehicles or activity is asked to call the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office at 402-441-6500.
