According to an article published by Lincolnshirelive on 12 September 2025, a shop in Colsterworth was targeted in a ram raid during the early hours of Wednesday, 10 September. Lincolnshirelive reports that thieves used a JCB to smash into the store located on Bridge End Road, causing significant damage to the front of the building before stealing an ATM.

The stolen JCB was abandoned at the scene. According to the police, the offenders are believed to have fled the area in a black Audi A5 and a stolen grey Toyota Hilux. Lincolnshire Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses, as well as any available dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage that may assist in identifying those responsible.

Officers have requested that anyone with information contact them by calling 101, emailing [email protected], or reporting anonymously via Crimestoppers, quoting Incident 31 of 10 September.
