ATM stolen during supermarket raid in Dunbar
Supermarket targeted in Dunbar ram-raid
According to Edinburghlive, a supermarket in Dunbar was the target of a significant burglary in the early hours of Saturday, 10 January 2026. Police Scotland confirmed that officers were called to the scene on Countess Road at approximately 12:50 am following reports that an ATM had been removed from the premises.
Images from the scene show extensive structural damage to the building, with a large hole visible in the side of the shop. It is suspected that a vehicle was used to breach the wall, leaving glass and metal debris scattered across the surrounding area. Police tape remained in place at the site throughout Saturday morning as investigations commenced.
Police Scotland has requested that anyone with information regarding the incident contact them by calling 101 and quoting incident number 0182 of 10 January 2026. Alternatively, reports can be made anonymously through Crimestoppers.
Business owners are encouraged to review their physical security measures, including the installation of bollards or reinforced barriers, to prevent vehicle-based intrusions.
