ATM Stolen from North Side Chicago Grocery Store in Early Morning Heist

CHICAGO — Chicago Police are seeking information regarding an early morning commercial burglary on the city's North Side, where a group of thieves successfully extracted an entire automated teller machine (ATM) from a local grocery store.

According to preliminary police reports, officers responded to a call regarding a break-in at a grocery store located in a commercial district on the North Side. Upon arrival, officers observed shattered glass at the entrance, indicating that the perpetrators had forced entry through the main doors.

Security footage from the premises reportedly showed multiple suspects entering the establishment. The individuals targeted the ATM located near the entrance. Within minutes, the group managed to dislodge the machine, load it into a waiting vehicle, and flee the scene before police arrived. No injuries were reported in connection with the heist.

Area detectives are currently reviewing surveillance videos from the store and surrounding businesses to identify the suspects and the getaway vehicle. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Chicago Police Department.
