ATM theft reported in Glengormley

According to an article published on 12 March 2025 by Belfastlive, an ATM was stolen from a service station located on Antrim Road in Glengormley. The incident occurred overnight, with police receiving a report of the theft on Wednesday morning.

Belfastlive reports that detectives believe the theft took place shortly after 1am on Wednesday. The ATM, which contained a sum of cash, was removed from the wall of the premises and taken intact from the scene. Authorities stated that a white van was involved in the incident; the vehicle reportedly arrived from the direction of Glengormley before fleeing towards the Sandyknowes roundabout.

The PSNI is currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area and conducting enquiries at the scene. Detective Inspector Lenaghan has appealed for anyone who was travelling in the vicinity at the time and may have dash-cam footage to contact detectives in Musgrave on 101, quoting reference number 140 12/03/25. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Business owners are encouraged to ensure that high-value equipment and cash points are monitored by robust alarm systems and high-definition surveillance cameras.
