ATM stolen from service station in Glengormley

ATM theft reported in Glengormley

According to an article published on 12 March 2025 by Irishnews, an ATM was stolen from a service station on the Antrim Road in Glengormley. The incident, which involved the machine being removed from the wall, is reported to have occurred shortly after 1am on Wednesday.

Irishnews reports that the PSNI is investigating the theft of the ATM, which contained a sum of cash and was taken intact from the scene. Authorities suspect that a white van, which arrived from the direction of Glengormley and departed towards the Sandyknowes roundabout, was involved in the crime. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage and have requested that anyone with dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the incident contact them.

This event follows two other recent ATM thefts in the region: one in the Mallusk Road area of Newtownabbey in January, and another on Belfast Road in Antrim in late December.

Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures and ensure that alarm systems and surveillance equipment are fully operational.
