ATM stolen in ram raid at Henlow convenience store

Ram raid reported in Henlow

According to an article published on 2 October 2025 by Thecomet, an ATM was stolen during a ram raid at a convenience store in Henlow. Thecomet reports that Bedfordshire Police were called to the scene on Hitchin Road shortly before 2.10am on 1 October.

The incident involved a Mitsubishi pickup truck being driven into the front of the premises. It is believed that the suspects used straps to extract the ATM from the building. Following the theft, the individuals reportedly fled the scene in a blue BMW estate car, accompanied by a second vehicle described as either a VW Golf or an Audi hatchback. The truck used in the raid was abandoned at the site.

Bedfordshire Police have launched an investigation and are requesting that anyone with CCTV, doorbell footage, or relevant information contact them by calling 101, quoting reference CAD 32 of 1 October, or by reaching out to Crimestoppers anonymously.

Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures and consider installing bollards or reinforced barriers to prevent vehicle-based intrusions.
