According to an article published on 17 September 2025, police in Hampshire foiled a burglary involving an ATM at the Morrisons Daily in the Locks Heath Centre. The incident occurred shortly before 4:30 am on Wednesday, 17 September.

Portsmouth reports that officers followed a Transit van leaving the area with the ATM in tow. Police successfully stopped the vehicle on Centre Way and recovered the machine, but the driver fled the scene. A second vehicle, believed to be linked to the incident, was later discovered abandoned on Ascot Close. No arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.
