Attempted burglary at private home in Reading

According to an article published on 11 November 2025, masked men broke into the home of footballer Raheem Sterling in Reading. Metro reports that the incident occurred last Saturday while the Chelsea player and his family were present inside the property.

The burglars were disturbed during the break-in and fled the scene before any items could be taken. A spokesperson confirmed that Sterling and his family remained unharmed during the event. Thames Valley Police have launched an investigation into the matter and are appealing for anyone with information or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area to come forward.

This incident marks the third time one of Sterling's properties has been targeted in the last seven years, following previous burglaries at homes in Surrey and Cheshire. Chelsea Football Club has stated they are aware of the situation and are providing support to the player.
