According to Stokesentinel, a post office in Silverdale has resumed normal operations following an attempted break-in. The incident, which took place overnight on 16 June 2026, resulted in damage to the shop door at the premises located on The Parade.

Following the event, the area was cordoned off as part of an ongoing police investigation. In a statement issued to customers, the Silverdale Sub Post Office confirmed that the business is now back open and expressed gratitude to the local community for their support during the closure.
