Attempted Burglary in Lancaster

Police in Lancaster are investigating an attempted burglary that occurred on July 22. The incident took place at a property on Westbourne Avenue, Lancaster. A man was captured on CCTV attempting to enter the property through an unlocked door.

The suspect was seen trying to gain entry around 11:30 PM. Fortunately, the homeowner was alerted to the presence of the intruder and managed to scare the suspect off before any items were stolen. No injuries were reported, and the suspect fled the scene without causing any damage.

Police have released CCTV footage and are appealing for any information that could help identify the suspect. They are urging residents to keep their doors locked, especially during hot weather when windows and doors are more likely to be left open.
