Attempted murder investigation following Biddulph burglary

Stabbing reported during Biddulph residential burglary

According to an article published on 17 March 2025 by Stokesentinel, Staffordshire Police have launched an attempted murder investigation following a burglary at a private residence in Biddulph. The incident occurred on Congleton Road at approximately 1.10am on Saturday, 15 March.

Stokesentinel reports that two individuals sustained injuries during the event and required medical attention. West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched two ambulances and a doctor to the scene, where the victims were assessed before being transported to the hospital for further treatment. Police maintained a presence at the property throughout the day following the incident.

Authorities have arrested a 31-year-old man from Congleton on suspicion of attempted murder, aggravated burglary, and possession of a knife in a public place. Police are currently requesting that any witnesses contact them by calling 101 and quoting incident number 42 of 15 March, or by contacting Crimestoppers anonymously.
