Bakersfield Police Ask for Help Identifying Suspects Accused of Robbing an AMPM Customer

BAKERSFIELD, California — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for public assistance to identify several suspects accused of robbing a customer at an AMPM convenience store. The robbery, which occurred in a public parking area, has highlighted ongoing concerns regarding safety at local convenience retail locations.

According to investigators, the victim was approached by the suspects while at the AMPM property. The suspects confronted the individual, using threats or physical force to demand personal belongings. After obtaining the victim's property, the suspects quickly fled the area, leaving the victim shaken but without severe physical injuries.

BPD officers responded to the scene shortly after receiving the emergency call, but a preliminary sweep of the neighborhood did not yield any immediate arrests. Detectives are currently analyzing surveillance footage from the store and surrounding businesses. They are hoping to identify a vehicle description or clear facial images of the suspects involved.
