Bicycle Flash Mob Targets Three 7-Eleven Stores in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Police are searching for a large group of young suspects on bicycles who targeted and looted three different 7-Eleven convenience stores across Hollywood in a rapid series of flash mob burglaries.

The coordinated incidents occurred within a short time window. According to witnesses and surveillance footage, dozens of youths riding bicycles swarmed the stores, entering simultaneously and overwhelming the store clerks. The group quickly grabbed snacks, drinks, and various merchandise from the shelves before fleeing on their bicycles.

Local businesses in Hollywood expressed rising concerns over the trend of bicycle-borne flash mobs, which allow suspects to disperse quickly into traffic and narrow side streets, making police pursuit difficult. Clerks at the targeted locations were left shaken but unharmed during the incidents.

The Los Angeles Police Department has released surveillance images of the cyclists in an effort to identify the key organizers of the flash mob. Investigators are asking anyone with information or footage of the group to contact Hollywood Division detectives.
