Birmingham Teenager Arrested After Boy Robbed in Lichfield

A teenage suspect from Birmingham has been taken into police custody following a violent robbery in Lichfield. The incident, which took place on December 5, 2025, involved the physical assault and robbery of a young boy, causing widespread concern in the local community.

Violent Incident in the City Center

The victim, a young boy, was approached by a group of youths in the afternoon. During the confrontation, the boy was punched and had his personal belongings, including his mobile phone and cash, forcibly taken. The suspects then fled the scene.

Rapid Arrest by Staffordshire Police

Following a prompt response by Staffordshire Police officers and a search of the surrounding area, a teenager from Birmingham was located and arrested on suspicion of robbery. The victim received medical attention for minor physical injuries and was understandably shaken by the ordeal.

"Violence of this nature is completely unacceptable, especially targeting a young person," a Staffordshire Police spokesperson said. "We have arrested one suspect and are continuing our enquiries to identify other individuals who may have been involved in this distressing incident."
