Bombing at Oak Park Restaurant Causes $18,000 in Property Damage

OAK PARK, IL — Police in Oak Park are investigating a destructive break-in after burglars detonated an explosive device inside a local restaurant early Tuesday morning, resulting in approximately $18,000 in property damage.

First responders arrived at the scene after alarms detected a breach. Upon entry, officers and emergency crews discovered significant structural damage to the interior of the establishment, consistent with a low-grade blast. Investigation revealed that the perpetrators utilized a bomb or explosive device to bypass security measures and gain entry to specific areas of the business.
