Bonsai Thefts in New Orleans
On December 12, 2024, a burglary occurred at two garden shops in New Orleans, Louisiana. The thief targeted bonsai trees, stealing a total of 10 trees valued at $5,000. The suspect entered the shops through the back doors, which were left unlocked, and quickly exited through the front doors. The thefts were reported to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD).
In a swift response, the NOPD arrested a 28-year-old suspect, identified as a local resident, in connection with the thefts. The suspect was apprehended near the scene of the crime.
