Bradenton Man Charged in Saint Stephenโs Episcopal School Burglary Following DNA and Video Match
BRADENTON, Florida โ A Bradenton man has been arrested and charged in connection with a burglary at Saint Stephen's Episcopal School, thanks to a combination of forensic science and surveillance evidence.
According to the Bradenton Police Department, the break-in occurred at the school campus where the suspect forced entry, causing property damage and stealing electronic equipment. During the initial crime scene investigation, forensic technicians recovered DNA evidence left behind by the perpetrator.
Surveillance and Forensics Unite
In addition to the DNA match, detectives reviewed security camera footage from the school which showed the suspect inside the building. The combined evidence allowed investigators to identify and secure a warrant for the arrest of the local Bradenton resident.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and has been booked into the Manatee County Jail on charges of burglary and grand theft. School administrators expressed their gratitude to the police department for their swift and scientific resolution to the case.
