Brazen Sneaker Store Burglary in Champaign Caught on Video; $50K in Merchandise Stolen

CHAMPAIGN, Illinois — A high-end sneaker store in Champaign was the target of a brazen heist on December 30, 2025, with thieves stealing an estimated $50,000 worth of premium merchandise in a fast-paced break-in captured on surveillance cameras.

The security footage shows multiple individuals forcing entry into the retail store during the early morning hours. Once inside, the group quickly filled large bags with exclusive sneakers and apparel. The entire operation lasted only a few minutes before the suspects fled in a waiting vehicle.

Store owners and local police are reviewing the high-definition video to identify the individuals involved. Authorities are asking anyone with information, or anyone who has recently observed high-value sneakers being sold online under suspicious circumstances, to contact the Champaign Police Department.
