According to an article published by the Andoveradvertiser on 25 July 2025, a shop window was smashed during an early morning break-in at Andover railway station. British Transport Police reported that they were called to the scene at 4:45am following reports of the damage.
A commuter noted that the window of the cafรฉ located on Platform 2 had been broken. However, British Transport Police confirmed that there was no damage to the station's ticket office. Furthermore, authorities stated that no items are believed to have been stolen from the cafรฉ during the incident.
Enquiries into the matter remain ongoing. The British Transport Police have requested that anyone with information contact them by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, citing reference 67 of 25 July.
