Brickell 'Bad Date' Leads to Arrest: Repeat Offender Jailed Over Theft of Rolex and Cash

Authorities have arrested a local woman accused of grand theft after an alleged “bad date” resulted in the theft of a luxury Rolex watch and a substantial sum of cash. Investigators say the suspect, who has a documented history of similar offenses in the area, was identified and apprehended following a swift investigation by the Miami Police Department's burglary unit.

According to the arrest report, the incident began when the victim met the suspect at a popular, high-end lounge in the heart of the Brickell financial district. The two socialized for several hours before deciding to return to the victim's nearby luxury apartment complex. The victim told detectives that after a relatively short period of time inside the apartment, he began to feel unusually drowsy and eventually fell into a deep sleep.
