Bristol Gas Station Targeted in Gunpoint Robbery on Riverside Avenue

BRISTOL, Conn. — Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a gas station on Riverside Avenue in Bristol early Sunday morning, May 10, 2026. The incident is the latest in a series of burglaries and robberies targeting local service stations over the past few years.

According to Bristol police, a suspect entered the Riverside Avenue station shortly after midnight, brandished a handgun, and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied with the demands, and the suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported, but police have released surveillance descriptions and are seeking information from the public.

This location and others in Bristol have been the target of criminal activity recently. In March 2024, burglars smashed the front door of another Bristol gas station to steal vaping products, and in December 2025, a Bristol man was arrested in connection with a September robbery at a nearby Valero gas station. Police are investigating if there are any connections between these incidents, though they currently appear to be separate occurrences.
