Bronzeville Currency Exchange Burglarized on South Michigan Avenue

CHICAGO — Authorities are investigating a commercial burglary at a currency exchange in the Bronzeville neighborhood on Chicago's South Side.

The break-in occurred at the currency exchange located on South Michigan Avenue. According to the Chicago Police Department, suspects forced entry into the building, causing structural damage to the storefront. Once inside, the burglars ransacked the interior before fleeing the scene with undisclosed items.

Local business owners have expressed growing concern over commercial security in the area following the incident. CPD has increased patrols in the commercial corridor and is asking anyone with information or footage from the night of the burglary to contact Area Central detectives.
