Burglar dies in house fire after barricading himself in Kansas City home

A Kansas City woman reported that a burglar broke into her home and subsequently barricaded himself inside the residence. Following the intrusion, a fire broke out at the property.

The individual who had barricaded himself inside the house died as a result of the fire. Local authorities are investigating the incident.
