Burglar Peels Plexiglass Off Door to Rob Vape Shop in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. โ€” Local authorities are investigating a break-in at a Frederick vape shop after a burglar utilized an unusual method to gain entry. According to the Frederick Police Department, the suspect peeled plexiglass off the establishment's door to execute the robbery.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Officers responded to the business following reports of a forced entry and theft. Surveillance footage and physical evidence at the scene indicated that the burglar systematically targeted the plexiglass section of the entrance door, peeling it back far enough to bypass security mechanisms and enter the store.

Once inside, the perpetrator stole various items of merchandise before fleeing. Police have released details of the break-in to warn local business owners and are urging anyone with information about the incident or suspicious activity in the area to contact the Frederick Police Department immediately.
