Burglars Escape with $50,000 in Merchandise from St. George Jewelry Store

ST. GEORGE, Utah — Detectives are investigating a costly commercial burglary in St. George after thieves targeted a local jewelry store, escaping with merchandise valued at approximately $50,000.

The burglary, which took place in late December, was discovered when staff arrived to find signs of forced entry. St. George Police Department officials reported that the perpetrators targeted specific display cases, systematically removing high-end jewelry and other retail stock. Crime scene technicians have processed the business for forensic evidence, and investigators are currently analyzing security footage from the store’s cameras in hopes of identifying the culprits.

As the holiday season draws to a close, local businesses are urged to remain vigilant and review their security protocols.
