Burglars Hit Grill Masters Barbeque in Clovis, Causing Thousands in Damages

CLOVIS, California — Owners of a popular local eatery, Grill Masters Barbeque, are left to pick up the pieces after burglars broke into the establishment overnight, causing extensive damage and making off with cash and property.

According to the Clovis Police Department, the break-in occurred in the early hours of Sunday, July 27, 2025. The suspects managed to force their way into the restaurant, situated in a busy commercial district of Clovis. Once inside, they ransacked the office and cash register area, leaving behind shattered glass, broken doors, and disrupted equipment.

The restaurant owners expressed their shock and frustration, noting that the physical damages alone will cost thousands of dollars to repair, on top of the stolen assets and lost revenue from potential closure during clean-up. "It's not just the money; it's the violation of a space we've worked so hard to build for our community," one owner stated.

Local authorities are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the restaurant and neighboring businesses. Police are asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area between midnight and 5:00 AM on July 27 to contact the Clovis Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
