The defendant pleaded guilty to burglary with intent to steal and common assault at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

During the proceedings, the court noted that the victim was confronted by the defendant while attempting to close the door to her workspace. Although the defense stated the individual did not force entry and was suffering from long-standing addiction issues, the judge emphasized that the presence of the employee made the burglary particularly distressing. The defendant was subsequently sentenced to nine months in prison.
