Burglary and Car Theft in Winchester

On the night of October 21, a burglary and car theft occurred at a property on St. Cross Road, Winchester. The suspects gained entry through a rear window, which they smashed, and stole a significant amount of cash and jewelry valued at £20,000. The suspects then fled the scene in a black Audi A3, which they had stolen from the property. The vehicle was later recovered in the city center.

Two individuals, a 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old teenager, have been charged in connection with the incident. The man was arrested in the city center on October 22, while the teenager was apprehended in the early hours of October 23. Both were taken into custody and have been charged with burglary and theft. The man was also charged with driving without a license. Neither the man nor the teenager sustained any injuries during the arrest. The police have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in their investigation, particularly regarding the whereabouts of the stolen items.
