Burglary and Theft at Oak Forest Residence

A Chicago man has been charged in connection with a burglary at a residence in Oak Forest, Illinois. On the night of October 10, 2023, an unknown suspect broke into a residence on the 15000 block of South 145th Avenue. The suspect gained entry by breaking a window and then stole a safe containing an estimated $50,000 in cash and jewelry.

The suspect escaped the scene before police arrived. No injuries were reported. Police are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Oak Forest Police Department.
