According to an article published on 11 September 2025 by Knutsfordguardian, a boutique in Knutsford was targeted in a burglary. Cheshire Police reported that they were called to the scene on Minshull Street shortly after 4:30 am on Sunday, August 31.

Officers discovered a 17-year-old boy inside the premises. According to police, the teenager was intoxicated at the time of the incident. He was initially arrested, then de-arrested and taken to his home in Macclesfield. The case has since been referred to the youth justice system.

The business owner reported extensive damage, noting that the front door was smashed and the interior was covered in shattered glass and bloodstains. The shop has been unable to open for nearly two weeks due to the destruction of stock and property. The owner stated that the incident has caused significant financial loss, with damage estimated to be substantial. The offender and his parents have offered to pay compensation, though the owner has expressed dissatisfaction with the current resolution process.
