Significant burglary at Bootle cash depot
According to an article published on 15 April 2025 by Liverpoolecho, a gang raided a G4S Cash Solutions depot on Bridle Way in Bootle. Police received reports that five males broke into the facility at approximately 9:40pm on Monday, 14 April.
Liverpoolecho reports that the suspects stole multiple bags containing cash, watches, and jewellery from a van. The individuals reportedly fled the scene on foot along the nearby Loop Line before police arrived. Forensics teams were seen at the location the following morning to conduct investigations.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Ball stated that the investigation is in its early stages and described the incident as a high-value burglary, with estimated losses understood to be nearly £1m. A spokesperson for G4S confirmed the incident occurred at their Liverpool branch and stated they are cooperating with Merseyside Police.
