Burglary at a collectable card shop in Peterborough

High-value theft at Peterborough gaming store

According to an article published on 29 January 2026 by Peterboroughtoday, a specialist gaming store in Peterborough has been targeted by a burglar. The raid at Collectors Corner, located in Culley Court, Orton Southgate, resulted in the theft of more than ยฃ80,000 worth of collectable trading cards, including Pokรฉmon, Magic, Lorcana, One Piece, YuGiOh, and various sports cards.

Peterboroughtoday reports that the intruder gained access by smashing through a thick, quadruple-glass door. The shop owner, Juliano Scibelli, noted that the perpetrator specifically targeted the most expensive items, some of which are valued at ยฃ5,000 or more each. It is feared that the total cost of the loss could reach ยฃ100,000.

Cambridgeshire police confirmed that the burglary occurred between 6pm on 27 January and 9am on 28 January. The shop will remain closed for the foreseeable future as the investigation continues. Authorities have asked anyone with information to contact them, quoting reference 35/7045/26.

Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures, including the installation of reinforced glass and advanced alarm systems, to protect high-value inventory.
