Burglary at a private home in Bromley
Jewellery theft reported in Bromley
According to an article published by the BBC on 7 August 2025, burglars stole £500,000 worth of gold jewellery from a private home in Bromley. The Metropolitan Police stated that the incident occurred on 30 December 2024 at a property on Bickley Road.
The BBC reports that three men forced entry through a bathroom window between 17:40 and 18:25 while the owners were inside the residence. The stolen items include necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and various family heirlooms. Detective Constable Jamie White noted that while the monetary value is significant, the sentimental loss is immense as many pieces were unique items passed down through generations.
Police have released images of the stolen jewellery in an attempt to identify the suspects and recover the items. As of the time of the report, no arrests have been made. Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist the ongoing investigation.
Ensure all windows and doors are securely locked and consider installing a monitored alarm system to protect your property.
