Police investigate break-in at Oadby travel agency

According to Leicestermercury, a forensics team was deployed to a Hay's Travel site located on The Parade in Oadby following a burglary. Leicestershire Police reported receiving a call regarding a burglary in progress at 10.59pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Officers arrived at the scene and determined that the suspects had forced entry to the rear of the shop before fleeing the area. On Wednesday, June 17, the premises remained closed to the public, with a company spokesperson citing "unforeseen circumstances" for the disruption. Customers were advised that phones have been diverted to another branch to handle urgent queries.

Leicestershire Police stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing. Authorities are requesting that anyone with information regarding the break-in contact the police on 101, quoting reference number 26*351907.

Business owners are encouraged to regularly inspect and reinforce the security of all rear entry points to deter unauthorized access.
