Burglary at antiques store in Wallingford

Theft at historic Wallingford antiques store

According to an article published by Oxfordmail on 18 September 2025, Thames Valley Police have launched a manhunt following a burglary at The Arcade antiques store in Wallingford. The incident occurred on Friday, 29 August, at approximately 4pm.

Authorities report that three silver items were stolen from a locked cabinet within the premises. The Arcade, a historic building dating back to Tudor times, is located at the crossroads of High Street and Castle Street.

Oxfordmail reports that police have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to in connection with the theft. The South Oxon and Vale of White Horse police team is urging anyone with information to contact them by calling 101 or reporting online, quoting reference number 43250442766. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

Business owners are encouraged to ensure that all display cabinets containing high-value items remain securely locked and are monitored by active surveillance systems at all times.
