Burglary at Guides Farm in Grange-over-Sands

Business forced to close following farm burglary

According to an article published on 6 November 2025 by Nwemail, a burglary occurred at Guides Farm on Cart Lane in Grange-over-Sands. The site, which hosts the animal therapy business Life Between the Ears, was targeted on Monday night.

Nwemail reports that the owners discovered the break-in after finding the farm gate damaged and barn doors left open. The thieves stole approximately £10,000 worth of equipment, including a Kubota RTV 900 4x4 (registration PN09 SWF), a Honda Big Red quad, as well as a large quantity of Makita power tools and Stihl chainsaws.

The business owner stated that the theft has forced a temporary closure of the facility, as the stolen equipment was essential for operations and the loss is not covered by insurance. The perpetrators reportedly avoided areas monitored by security cameras during the incident.

Business owners are encouraged to regularly review their security measures and ensure that all valuable equipment is properly inventoried and secured against unauthorized access.
