Burglary at private home in Belgravia

Residential burglary in Belgravia

According to an article published on 20 March 2025 by Edinburghlive, businesswoman Karren Brady and her family were the victims of a series of burglaries at their £6 million home in Belgravia. The property was targeted four separate times over a 16-hour period last May.

Edinburghlive reports that the intruder, identified as 41-year-old Gregory Adnane, repeatedly accessed a basement storage area at the residence. During the raids, various items were stolen, including Amazon parcels, cycling apparel, and a designer handbag. In a victim impact statement, Brady described the experience as a deeply disturbing violation of her privacy, noting that the incidents have left her feeling vulnerable and unsettled in her own home.

Following the events, the family has taken significant measures to improve their security, including the installation of additional lighting and the consistent use of alarm systems. Police have investigated the thefts, which have caused long-term distress to the occupants.

Homeowners are encouraged to regularly assess their property security, including the reinforcement of all entry points and the installation of visible alarm systems to deter potential intruders.
